Philosophy: Gover Counseling believes mental health is of prime importance and is often the root cause of physical ailments. We are a holistic practice available to individuals, children, adolescents and couples.
Fees : We believe mental health care should be available to everyone. We are a fee-for-service practice which also accepts Medicaid. For those who have insurance coverage, we provide paperwork to collect from insurers. For less affluent fee-for-service clients, we use a sliding scale adjusted to income.
Counseling Modality: We approach each client existentially - -meaning we first try to understand the client's problems from his or her perspective. We are eclectic - -meaning we choose the technique best suited to each individual. We often choose Cognitive-Behavioral methods because they enable a combination of thought and behavior change.
